Pastor Lee’s Mission Project
Our missionary is hard at work feeding the hungry, with not only food but with the Gospel. Once a month Pastor and Mrs. Lee travel to Tijuana where they hold a full Lutheran service and donate food and clothes to those in need.
Pastor Lee has been active with this mission for ten years now, and has touched the lives of many with his generosity. The two hundred people who attend Pastor Lee’s services are learning and reciting Scripture, reading Luther’s Small Catechism, and singing hymns accompanied by Mrs. Lee on the organ.
In addition to the Tijuana Mission Pastor Lee also runs a mission downtown doing the same, spreading the Word and feeding the homeless. Many other churches have become involved and have donated their time and money to Pastor Lee’s missions. At our latest congregational meeting we passed around Mission Pledge forms so that we can help Pastor and Mrs. Lee fund these missions, so that they are not forced to limit their missionary acts, we would like to see Pastor Lee being able to hold services in Tijuana not once a month, but twice, or even every weekend. We have placed additional pledge forms on the table outside the church office and in the Sunday bulletins, please fill one out if you are able to contribute. If you can’t offer financial support, you are welcome and encouraged to pray and donate your time. Please check the box for the mission you would like to assist and write the month that you would be able to do so. The mission board will be contacting you to let you know when your help will be needed.
To contribute to Pastor Lee’s Mission, please make your checks payable to Grace Lutheran Church with “Pastor Lee’s Mission” written in the memo, please place your check in one of the envelopes provided outside the office or in the narthex and place them in the offering or the church office mailbox in the hallway. Thank you.
